Bloodhound - Desert Subspecies by BloodhoundOmega Bloodhound - Desert Subspecies by BloodhoundOmega
Due to their elongated bodies the Desert Hounds are the tallest of all Bloodhounds. They are slender and graceful and have developed a certain pride, as well as a degree of vanity that sometimes crosses the border of acceptability.

Desert Hounds have conquered all kinds of barren habitats for themselves (except of the Wastelands, which are Unseeing territory) and are - like their Lowland cousins - prone to travel and explore. Nonetheless the biggest and most monumental buildings and cities on Ileyeah can usually be found in the deserts…

Heh, I actually go tmore questions XD:
1. Is it possible for a Bloodhound to have a Desert mom and and a Alpine dad? And therefore to be a mix?

2.Is there any other possibility that the symbol is removed from one's head except of banishment?

3. When standing on two legs, they walk like humans or do they walk diferently?

4.If there's a couple of two males and they want a baby, I think I read somewhere that they can ask another couple for help. What does this exactly mean?

Hope I wrote these clear.... I really need to learn more about these guys...

1. Absolutely! It can sometimes be difficult due to size differences (imagine an Alpine male and a little jungle female... yikes! XD ), but in general this is no problem at all.

2. Well, no not really, unless we speack of willful mutilation like... ampatutating a finger.

3. Similar, I guess. I wanted to hint at them changing effortlessly from fourlegged stance to upright, which is why their shoulders seem so narrow and their arms are so close to the body. But in general I would say they move similar to humans, probaly more slow/elegant due to the long limbs. Most subspecies have a slightly different way of moving though. The alpine Hounds are prone to trott and scuffle like bears; tropical Hounds move quickly like monkeys while Desert Hounds move rather slowly and deliberate.

4. I have not through this one through entirely yet. In the new design there is little difference between males and females. Their repdroductive organs are usually hidden, both can actually produce milk, but only females can give birth. I think what I wanted to hint at was the possibility of adoption and surrogate mothers. Bloodhounds are a highly developed species though so I can imagine very well that they developed a way to successfully mend the DNA of two males, fertilize a blanco-egg cell and implant that for growth into a willing female.

Hope that answered your questions. :D

They can be damaged, hurt and mutilated, but they are not of a still lifeless material, such bone or cartilage. There is a thick golden coloured skin on the surface, but underneath that flows blood.

these are very cool. i was just wondering, are the little antennas firm and hard or do they move? I wasn't sure if they were like horns with fur on the end or antennas.

They are flexible and can be moved at will. They often support the express of emotion, as do ears with canines for example. :)
